He is accused of involvement in violations and torture against civilians during his time in the Military Security branch of the former Syrian regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the source, Jomaa had been staying out of sight and living outside Deir ez-Zor, but recently returned to the city, prompting security services to move swiftly to arrest him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operation followed what the source described as a long and precise tracking process.
