Autonomous Administration in Kobani on Wednesday called for the lifting of the siege imposed on the city for over a month by the Syrian transitional government, warning that delivering humanitarian aid without ending the blockade does not provide a lasting solution to the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDelivering aid without ending the siege does not constitute a permanent solution to the difficult humanitarian situation facing the region,\u201d the administration said in a statement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement added that for 37 consecutive days, government forces have maintained a siege on Kobani, coinciding with the displacement of tens of thousands of residents from Raqqa, Tabqa, and the Kobani countryside into the city center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The influx of displaced persons has intensified humanitarian pressures, leading to deteriorating living conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the initial weeks of the siege, several humanitarian organizations, in coordination with the United Nations, sent three aid convoys to Kobani, alongside two convoys from the Syrian Red Crescent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organizations, working with Kobani\u2019s Social Affairs and Labor Board and the Office of Humanitarian Organizations, distributed aid to displaced families across the city\u2019s shelters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The administration called for urgent international attention to lift the siege completely and provide sustained humanitarian support to alleviate the growing pressures on Kobani\u2019s population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Fattah
