{"id":135476,"date":"2026-02-09T17:39:28","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T17:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=135476"},"modified":"2026-02-09T17:39:30","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T17:39:30","slug":"israeli-forces-set-up-checkpoint-after-incursion-in-quneitra-countryside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/135476\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli forces set up checkpoint after incursion in Quneitra countryside"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) <\/strong>\u2013 Israeli forces advanced on Monday into the southern countryside of Quneitra, where they established a checkpoint and inspected vehicles and civilians passing through the area, local sources said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several areas in southern Syria have recently witnessed repeated Israeli ground incursions, with movements reported almost daily and at times reaching towns in the Damascus countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local sources told North Press that \u201carmored vehicles belonging to the Israeli army advanced into the buffer zone between Kudna and Breiqa in the southern Quneitra countryside and set up a checkpoint in the al-Kabbas area of Kudna.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sources added that Israeli soldiers inspected residents and passing vehicles on the road at the checkpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israeli forces have conducted a series of cross-border operations and movements in southern Syria in recent months, particularly in areas near the demarcation line.
