The meeting followed earlier talks between the council and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani on February 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe meeting addressed national issues, including the Kurdish question, the adoption of dialogue to resolve these issues, and ways to build the new Syria,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The council noted that it reviewed its long-standing political positions, emphasizing its calls since the early formation of the Kurdish political movement for \u201ca democratic Syria for all Syrians\u201d and for guaranteeing the national rights of the Kurdish people within a unified Syrian state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its statement, the KNC welcomed Decree No. 13, describing it as \u201ca positive and important step,\u201d while calling for its completion through the explicit inclusion of Kurdish national rights in Syria\u2019s constitution.
