co-chair of the Office of Displaced Persons and Refugees within the Autonomous Administration, told North Press on Wednesday that approximately 350,000 people have been displaced to the areas of Hasakah, Qamishli, and Kobani as a result of recent attacks carried out by forces of the Syrian transitional government on Raqqa, Tabqa, and Deir ez-Zor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahmad said the region is facing increasingly severe humanitarian conditions amid the continued attacks and ceasefire violations by forces of the Syrian transitional government, despite an existing ceasefire agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the near-total suspension of operations by international relief and humanitarian organizations following the latest attacks has further worsened the suffering of displaced civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Ahmad, the Syrian transitional government is seeking, through its recent military escalation, to take control of the Semalka\u2013Faysh Khabur crossing with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with the aim of cutting off supplies to the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He noted that this comes at a time when the Autonomous Administration is grappling with limited resources and an acute shortage of medicines and humanitarian supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahmad also said that the aid recently delivered to the city of Kobani through the United Nations remains limited and insufficient to meet the needs created by the large influx of displaced people seeking refuge there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He warned that if the current situation continues, many essential institutions\u2014such as bakeries and hospitals\u2014may be forced to shut down, putting the lives of millions at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Dilsoz
