She referred to the March 10 agreement, which outlines steps for confidence-building and negotiations among Syrian parties, as the framework guiding the administration\u2019s approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senator Shaheen, a senior member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued a statement earlier this week voicing \u201cdeep concern\u201d over the recent escalation in Aleppo and warning of the risk that violence could spread to other parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to her statement, Shaheen called on Syria\u2019s transitional government to take immediate steps to de-escalate, open investigations into reported violations, and resume political talks.
