The explosion, carried out by unidentified assailants at the time, marked one of the deadliest incidents in Homs in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interior Ministry spokesperson Nour al-Din al-Baba confirmed the arrests in a statement posted on the social media platform X, declaring: \u201cThe cell responsible for the bombing of Imam Ali Mosque is now in the custody of the Interior Ministry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the ministry, security units in Homs, working in coordination with the General Intelligence Directorate, conducted a \u201cprecise and well-planned\u201d operation that led to the capture of Ahmed Attallah al-Diyab and Anas al-Zarad, identified as members of the Islamic State (ISIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities reported that the suspects were found in possession of explosive devices, assorted weapons, ammunition, and digital evidence linking them to the attack.
