Emergency and investigation teams were dispatched to the site to secure the location and begin collecting evidence to determine the circumstances of the blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medical sources said the injured were transported to nearby hospitals, noting that several cases remain in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could increase. Hospitals in Homs were placed on alert following the incident to receive additional casualties if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security authorities stated that no clear information is yet available regarding the party responsible for planting the explosive device.
