All five were released several hours later. The source described the incident as part of a recurring pattern of brief detentions by Israeli forces in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same source added that the detainees were subjected to physical mistreatment during their arrest and called on human rights organizations to document and investigate such violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a related development, the source reported that an Israeli military patrol consisting of around eight vehicles carrying soldiers infiltrated the towns of al-Asha and al-Rafid in southern Quneitra early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another Israeli patrol also entered the towns of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiya and al-Ajraf on Friday, though no additional details were available regarding the nature of these incursions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reporting by Malin Mohammed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editing by Jwan Shekaki<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 The Israeli army released on Friday evening five Syrian young men, hours after detaining them near the village of Saida al-Golan, south of Quneitra in southern Syria, local sources reported.
