{"id":130729,"date":"2025-10-08T10:41:24","date_gmt":"2025-10-08T10:41:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=130729"},"modified":"2025-10-08T10:41:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T10:41:26","slug":"israeli-forces-conduct-incursions-in-syrias-quneitra-near-golan-heights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/130729\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli forces conduct incursions in Syria&#8217;s Quneitra near Golan Heights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, witnessed on Tuesday several simultaneous Israeli incursions targeting areas near the occupied Golan Heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local sources told North Press that an Israeli army patrol infiltrated the village of Umm Batna in central Quneitra shortly after midnight, moving through several streets before withdrawing early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sources added that another patrol entered at dawn on Wednesday the village of al-Muallaqa, south of Quneitra, where Israeli soldiers briefly set up a temporary checkpoint before retreating from the area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similar movements were reported along the road connecting al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah and al-Ajraf, where Israeli forces established another temporary checkpoint before pulling back a short time later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, a convoy of six Israeli military vehicles entered the villages of Bir Ajam and Buraika, where troops conducted a brief patrol before returning to their positions inside the Golan Heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incursions are part of a series of Israeli military operations across the Quneitra countryside that have intensified since the fall of the former Syrian regime in December 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Mo&#8217;ayed al-Ashqar<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editing by Jwan Shekaki<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 The countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, witnessed on Tuesday several simultaneous Israeli incursions targeting areas near the occupied Golan Heights.
