{"id":129605,"date":"2025-09-12T20:00:04","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T20:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=129605"},"modified":"2025-09-12T20:00:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T20:00:06","slug":"syrias-al-shara-says-sdf-deal-stalled-but-aims-to-avert-conflict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/129605\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria\u2019s al-Shar\u2019a says SDF deal stalled but aims to avert conflict"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) <\/strong>\u2013 Syrian President Ahmad al-Shar\u2019a said on Friday that ongoing negotiations with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were progressing but faced delays in implementing the terms of an agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking in an exclusive interview with state-run al-Ikhbariya TV, al-Shar\u2019a stated, \u201cThe negotiations with the SDF were proceeding well, but it seems there is some obstruction or slowness in implementing the agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained that the agreement was scheduled to last until the end of this year, with efforts focused on applying its provisions by late December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Shar\u2019a stressed that his aim was to spare northeastern Syria from entering into conflict, pointing out that the agreement with the SDF and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) was designed to ensure stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further revealed that the Syrian government had agreed to integrate SDF forces into the Syrian Arab Army, with specific arrangements for Kurdish-majority areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe ultimate goal is that Syria will not give up a single grain of its soil.
