{"id":129257,"date":"2025-09-04T05:59:26","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T05:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=129257"},"modified":"2025-09-04T05:59:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T05:59:28","slug":"aanes-rep-finnish-ambassador-discuss-syria-developments-in-beirut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/129257\/","title":{"rendered":"AANES Rep., Finnish ambassador discuss Syria developments in Beirut \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Bedran \u00c7iya Kurd, Deputy Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), met on Wednesday with Anne Meskanen, Finnish Ambassador to Beirut and Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of her country\u2019s embassy in Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting, also attended by Abdel Salam Ahmad, AANES representative in Lebanon, addressed the latest political and security developments in Syria, with a particular focus on the situation in North and East Syria (Rojava).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c7iya Kurd said that discussions highlighted the importance of launching a genuine national political dialogue and drafting a constitution that reflects the aspirations of all Syrians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also stressed the need to continue efforts to combat the Islamic State (ISIS) and maintain sustainable stability across Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ambassador Meskanen described the talks as fruitful, underscoring Finland\u2019s interest in following developments in the region closely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AANES has long sought to expand its diplomatic outreach with European countries, despite lacking official recognition.
