{"id":129212,"date":"2025-09-03T06:54:45","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T06:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=129212"},"modified":"2025-09-03T06:54:47","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T06:54:47","slug":"government-delegation-visits-turkish-occupied-sere-kaniye-in-ne-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/129212\/","title":{"rendered":"Government delegation visits Turkish-occupied Sere Kaniye in NE Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>A delegation of the Syrian transitional government headed by Abdel Qader al-Tahan, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited on Tuesday the Turkish-occupied city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), located in the north of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An informed security source told North Press that the visit aimed to activate the city\u2019s internal security apparatus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source, who requested anonymity, added&nbsp; that the visit followed a similar one about six weeks ago, when the ministry announced recruitment for the security apparatus. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the latest visit, officials agreed to register 300 new recruits\u2014only 70 of whom are from Sere Kaniye and its countryside, while the remainder are from Deir ez-Zor and other Syrian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source pointed out that the delegation entered the area via Turkey, passing through the Tel Abyad border crossing before traveling on to Sere Kaniye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the visit, the delegation collected lists, files, and applications of the new recruits to review later in Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source indicated that a similar visit was carried out the same day in Tel Abyad, also aimed at reactivating the General Security apparatus in both cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Samer Yassin<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editing by Jwan Shekaki<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013 A delegation of the Syrian transitional government headed by Abdel Qader al-Tahan, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited on Tuesday the Turkish-occupied city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), located in the north of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.
