{"id":127498,"date":"2025-07-20T11:21:43","date_gmt":"2025-07-20T11:21:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=127498"},"modified":"2025-07-20T11:21:45","modified_gmt":"2025-07-20T11:21:45","slug":"druze-call-for-halt-to-attacks-media-incitement-in-syrias-suwayda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/127498\/","title":{"rendered":"Druze call for halt to attacks, media incitement in Syria&#8217;s Suwayda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>The Spiritual Leadership of the Druze community in Syria issued on Sunday a statement calling for an immediate end to the ongoing assault on Suwayda Governorate, southern Syria, and the cessation of misleading media campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leadership also welcomed the entry of humanitarian aid facilitated by international organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe welcome all humanitarian assistance reaching the afflicted Suwayda Governorate through international organizations and institutions that extend a helping hand to our people during this difficult time,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe deeply value every sincere effort aimed at saving lives and easing the suffering of civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leadership called \u201cclearly and firmly\u201d for an end to the \u201cbrutal attack on Suwayda\u201d and demanded a stop to what it described as \u201cmisleading media campaigns and the deliberate spread of malicious rumors aimed at inciting violence and hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement stressed that the Druze community holds no animosity toward any religious or ethnic group, declaring: \u201cWe have no dispute with anyone on religious or ethnic grounds.
