class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The U.S. has remained heavily involved over the last three days with Israel, Jordan and authorities in Damascus on the horrifying &amp; dangerous developments in southern Syria.&#8221; Rubio said in a statement on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The U.S. has remained heavily involved over the last three days slaughter of innocent people which has and is still occuring must end,&#8221; he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;If authorities in Damascus want to preserve any chance of achieving a unified, inclusive and peaceful Syria free of ISIS and of Iranian control they must help end this calamity by using their security forces to prevent ISIS and any other violent jihadists from entering the area and carrying out massacres.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also emphasized the need for justice, &#8220;They must hold accountable and bring to justice anyone guilty of atrocities including those in their own ranks.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rubio called for an immediate end to the violence between Druze factions and tribal fighters, urging all sides to de-escalate and prioritize civilian protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The fighting between Druze and Bedouin groups inside the perimeter must
