class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview on Al Jazeera, Barrack stated that discussions between Syria and Israel are progressing steadily and \u201ccover all major issues,\u201d including border disputes and repeated Israeli incursions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The remarks follow a <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/126810\/\">report<\/a> by Israel&#8217;s Channel 12 on Friday claiming that Syria and Israel are edging closer to signing a peace agreement, potentially before the end of the year. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barrack emphasized that he is optimistic about the ongoing talks, noting that \u201cthe current Syrian leadership is not in conflict with Israel, nor does it seek confrontation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
