U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, announced on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with the Turkish TV channel, NTV, Barrack said that Washington is reassessing its approach, acknowledging that previous policies have failed to yield the desired outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He emphasized the need for a new direction, particularly with regard to the U.S. partnership with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), signaling a potential shift in long-standing policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Fox News reported that approximately 500 U.S. troops have withdrawn from Syria in recent weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to American officials, three U.S. bases have either been shut down or transferred to the SDF.
