This coincides with the activation of General License No. 25, signaling what Andakian described as \u201ca clear American desire to reduce the economic burden on Damascus and build trust with Syrian leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Syrian media recently reported that Barrack is scheduled to visit Damascus this week to meet with Syrian Transitional President Ahmad al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.
