{"id":125596,"date":"2025-05-12T15:22:20","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T15:22:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=125596"},"modified":"2025-05-12T15:22:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T15:22:22","slug":"al-shibani-we-are-implementing-a-national-agreement-with-syrian-democratic-forces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/125596\/","title":{"rendered":"Al-Shibani: We Are Implementing a National Agreement with Syrian Democratic Forces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Kardo Roj<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ANKARA, Turkey (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Syria\u2019s transitional Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani announced on Monday that a national agreement is underway with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), aimed at unifying all Syrian territories under central government authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking from Ankara following a trilateral meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, al-Shibani described the process as \u201ccomplex and sensitive but essential,\u201d emphasizing that Kurdish citizens\u2019 rights would be respected and protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He warned that procrastination in implementing the agreement would prolong instability and encourage foreign interference and separatist sentiment. \u201cOur goal is not domination, but reunification. Our message to all Syrians is clear: the future belongs to a united Syria,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Shibani also revealed that a new national political phase is being established, which includes the formation of a national parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Touching on Israeli military activity, al-Shibani accused Israel of escalating tensions through repeated airstrikes on Syrian territory, which have resulted in casualties. \u201cSyria has the right to defend itself,\u201d he said, demanding Israeli compliance with international resolutions and a full withdrawal from occupied territories in southern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding regional partnerships, the Syrian FM reiterated Syria\u2019s commitment to enhanced cooperation with Turkey and Jordan to combat terrorism and address cross-border threats. \u201cWe will not allow foreign-backed militias to destabilize our country,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Kardo Roj\u00a0 ANKARA, Turkey (North Press) \u2013 Syria\u2019s transitional Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani announced on Monday that a national agreement is underway with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), aimed at unifying all Syrian territories under central government authority.
