Russia has intensified coordination with both Iran and Iraq to revive this strategic energy corridor connecting the three countries to Syria\u2019s coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov was the first senior foreign official to visit Damascus following the regime\u2019s fall, signaling Moscow\u2019s ongoing commitment to shaping Syria\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Iraqi delegation, headed by National Intelligence Service Chief Hamid al-Shatri, also visited Damascus recently, further confirming the coordination of regional efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dormant pipeline\u2014approximately 850 kilometers long\u2014was originally shut down in 2003 after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
