DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Syrian authorities announced Tuesday evening that a local agreement had been reached to end the deadly unrest in Jaramana, a town southeast of Damascus, after a night of violence left more than 20 individuals killed or wounded, including members of the General Security Directorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement, brokered during a meeting between government officials, Druze religious leaders, and local community representatives, aims to de-escalate tensions, provide restitution to victims’ families, and pursue accountability for those responsible for the violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the agreement includes measures to clarify the events publicly, contain sectarian incitement, and restore normalcy to the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
