{"id":125130,"date":"2025-04-29T11:25:52","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T11:25:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=125130"},"modified":"2025-04-29T11:25:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T11:25:53","slug":"syrian-authorities-confirm-casualties-in-druze-city-clashes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/125130\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian authorities confirm casualties in Druze city clashes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The Syrian Ministry of Interior issued on Tuesday a statement regarding the deadly clashes that erupted at dawn in the predominantly Druze city of Jaramana in the Damascus countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry confirmed that the violence resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, including among security personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, a government <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/125127\/\">source<\/a> told North Press that three members of the General Security forces were killed and others injured during the clashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a statement from the Ministry\u2019s media office, \u201cThe Jaramana area witnessed sporadic clashes between armed groups, some originating from outside the city and others from within. These confrontations led to casualties, both dead and wounded.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry added that General Security units, supported by forces from the Ministry of Defense, intervened to end the fighting and restore calm.
