{"id":123206,"date":"2025-03-15T10:11:49","date_gmt":"2025-03-15T10:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=123206"},"modified":"2025-03-15T10:11:51","modified_gmt":"2025-03-15T10:11:51","slug":"u-s-mediated-between-kurds-syrian-government-official","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/123206\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. mediated between Kurds, Syrian Government \u2013 Official"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> A U.S. official stated on Saturday that the U.S. had acted as a mediator to facilitate closer ties between the Kurds and Syria\u2019s new government, referencing the agreement reached between the two sides on March 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Wall Street Journal quoted the U.S. official as saying that there has been significant exchange of views between the Kurds and the new Syrian government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further noted that they will have no role and will not be able to conduct airstrikes unless they have partners to work with in Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding military operations, the official revealed they were on the verge of striking an abandoned missile launch site belonging to an Iranian-backed militia in Syria. However, they rescinded the order after coordinating with the Syrian Ministry of Defense, which subsequently dismantled the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He emphasized that this intervention by the Syrian Ministry of Defense helped avert a strike that could have resulted in collateral damage.
