The situation escalated as security forces launched a crackdown in the area, leading to intermittent gunfire exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to residents, Jaramana witnessed heavy security deployments throughout the day as the General Security forces attempted to regain control of the situation. The fighting resulted in one confirmed fatality, while multiple individuals sustained injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local sources stated that tensions had been simmering for weeks due to increased criminal activities and power struggles between security forces and armed factions operating in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSecurity forces are on high alert, and movement in certain parts of the city has been restricted,\u201d an eyewitness told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jaramana, a town with a significant Druze and Christian population, has been relatively stable compared to other areas in Damascus countryside. However, recent months have seen a surge in armed confrontations, fueled by growing instability and the proliferation of weapons among local groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Saturday evening, sources reported a fragile calm in Jaramana, but the security situation remains volatile.
