{"id":122067,"date":"2025-02-13T14:16:35","date_gmt":"2025-02-13T14:16:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=122067"},"modified":"2025-02-13T14:16:36","modified_gmt":"2025-02-13T14:16:36","slug":"syrian-national-dialogue-committee-excludes-sdf-from-participation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/122067\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian National Dialogue committee excludes SDF from participation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The preparatory committee for the Syrian National Dialogue Conference held on Thursday its first press conference in Damascus, announcing its work agenda following the committee\u2019s formation by the Syrian presidency a day earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">North Press correspondent who attended the conference reported that the committee clarified the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) would not be invited to the dialogue, stating that the group \u201cdoes not represent the eastern governorates or their residents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee emphasized that the conference would uphold Syria\u2019s diversity and promote open dialogue, rejecting any form of sectarian power-sharing. \u201cOur goal is to preserve Syria\u2019s unity\u2014both its land and its people,\u201d the committee declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It added that all Syrians are encouraged to participate in the dialogue, with the committee set to draft its internal regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It stressed that there would be no pre-determined discussion topics or directives for citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hassan al-Daghim, member of the preparatory committee, said, \u201cThe Assadist sect has no place except before the courts of justice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee described its members as \u201cexperts who have spent years in Idlib and Aleppo leading dialogue initiatives.
