{"id":121621,"date":"2025-01-30T18:45:37","date_gmt":"2025-01-30T18:45:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=121621"},"modified":"2025-01-30T18:45:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T18:45:39","slug":"dozens-of-iraqi-families-depart-syrias-al-hol-camp-for-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/121621\/","title":{"rendered":"Dozens of Iraqi Families Depart Syria&#8217;s al-Hol Camp for Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Kardo Roj<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013 A total of <strong>86 Iraqi families<\/strong> left <strong>al-Hol camp<\/strong> in northeastern Syria on <strong>Thursday<\/strong>, as part of ongoing <strong>cooperation between the Iraqi government and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES)<\/strong> to repatriate Iraqi nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This marks the <strong>21st batch<\/strong> of Iraqi families to be repatriated since the coordination efforts began, and the <strong>third such transfer since the start of 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steady Repatriation Efforts Continue<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source from al-Hol camp confirmed to North Press that approximately 500 Iraqi nationals, divided into 86 families, were transferred back to Iraq under the latest repatriation plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The previous transfer took place last Saturday, when 148 Iraqi families departed the camp as part of the joint Iraqi-AANES efforts to facilitate the return of displaced Iraqi citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges in Al-Hol Camp<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Hol camp, located in the southern countryside of Hasakah, hosts tens of thousands of individuals, including Iraqi refugees, Syrians, and families of suspected ISIS members.
