{"id":121370,"date":"2025-01-25T06:56:05","date_gmt":"2025-01-25T06:56:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=121370"},"modified":"2025-01-25T06:56:06","modified_gmt":"2025-01-25T06:56:06","slug":"u-s-shares-secret-intelligence-with-syrias-new-administration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/121370\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. shares secret intelligence with Syria&#8217;s new administration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> American officials announced on Friday that the United States has shared secret intelligence with Syria&#8217;s new administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to The Washington Post, U.S. officials confirmed that American authorities provided intelligence to the new Syrian caretaker government regarding threats of the Islamic State (ISIS) following the fall of the previous regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 11, the Ministry of Interior in Syria\u2019s caretaker government reported thwarting an attempted attack by ISIS targeting the shrine of Sayyida Zainab near Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The officials clarified that the exchange of intelligence with Damascus does not signify full support for Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
