The Tishrin Dam is a vital piece of infrastructure for northern and eastern Syria, and the area has become a focal point of tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Repeated Targeting of Civilians<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local sources, the convoy was heading toward the dam in an effort to protest Turkish shelling on the critical facility.
