{"id":120277,"date":"2024-12-28T06:45:28","date_gmt":"2024-12-28T06:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=120277"},"modified":"2024-12-28T06:45:30","modified_gmt":"2024-12-28T06:45:30","slug":"sdf-condemns-car-bomb-in-syrias-manbij-denies-involvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/120277\/","title":{"rendered":"SDF condemns car bomb in Syria&#8217;s Manbij, denies involvement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMSIHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denounced on Friday the car bombing that rocked the city of Manbij in northern Syria\u2019s eastern Aleppo countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an official statement, the Manbij Military Council, a key component of the SDF, strongly rejected allegations linking their forces to the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The explosion occurred in front of the Grand Mosque in city center of Manbij, igniting nearby shops and causing material damage but fortunately resulted in no casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe condemn the terrorist explosion that took place in Manbij,&#8221; the statement read. &#8220;We categorically deny any accusations of our involvement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement urged residents and community leaders in Manbij to band together to identify the true culprits, saying, \u201cWe call on the people of Manbij and its wise leaders to unite in uncovering the real perpetrators among the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, whose escalating crimes include killing, looting, and terrorizing civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manbij has faced ongoing turmoil and instability following the takeover by Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) factions, which occurred after a ceasefire agreement with the SDF.
