Opposition factions, led by Hay\u2019at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), have taken control of key state institutions and governance structures, intensifying political and military tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pedersen pointed to the growing threat posed by armed groups operating outside the control of central command structures, specifically referencing factions of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Displacement and Instability<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collapse of central governance has triggered mass displacement, particularly among Kurdish populations in Aleppo&#8217;s countryside.
