For years, Syria has been among the leading countries of origin for asylum seekers in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis pause does not apply to asylum applications falling under the Dublin Regulation, where another European Union country is responsible for processing the case.
