{"id":118955,"date":"2024-12-02T08:33:07","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T08:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=118955"},"modified":"2024-12-02T08:33:08","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T08:33:08","slug":"sna-factions-arrest-afrin-idps-fleeing-aleppo-amid-harsh-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/118955\/","title":{"rendered":"SNA factions arrest Afrin IDPs fleeing Aleppo amid harsh conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Displaced individuals from Afrin said on Monday that factions of the Turkish-backed armed opposition, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), launched a campaign of arrests targeting IDPs in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northwestern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three IDPs told North Press that they spent the night outdoors in freezing temperatures, hoping for a safe corridor to evacuate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They added that the SNA factions are preventing residents from leaving and have initiated arrests among the displaced amid fears of potential field executions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since Sunday afternoon, many Afrin IDPs have been attempting to flee the area due to the advancing presence of Turkish-backed SNA factions.
