{"id":117940,"date":"2024-10-25T09:06:14","date_gmt":"2024-10-25T09:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=117940"},"modified":"2024-10-25T09:06:15","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T09:06:15","slug":"aanes-hands-over-isis-woman-child-to-denmark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/117940\/","title":{"rendered":"AANES hands over ISIS woman, child to Denmark"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) handed over on Thursday a Danish woman and child affiliated with ISIS to a Danish delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The handover took place during a visit from Nicholas Harris, Denmark\u2019s Special Envoy for the Syrian Conflict, to the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harris was welcomed by Rubel Baho, Deputy Co-Chair of AANES&#8217; Department of Foreign Relations, who affirmed the AANES&#8217; ongoing commitment to collaborating with all nations, particularly Denmark, in repatriation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harris commended the cooperation between AANES, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Global Coalition, including Denmark\u2019s involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He expressed Denmark\u2019s gratitude for the SDF\u2019s sacrifices in the fight against ISIS and stressed that continued pressure on ISIS is essential for regional stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harris also highlighted Denmark\u2019s awareness of the significant economic, humanitarian, and security challenges facing the region and emphasized Denmark\u2019s regular communication with AANES\u2019 representatives in Europe to stay informed about conditions in Syria\u2019s northern and eastern regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Jwan Shekaki<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) handed over on Thursday a Danish woman and child affiliated with ISIS to a Danish delegation.
