Refugee Agency said on Sunday approximately 220,000 people, including both Lebanese and Syrians, are estimated to have crossed from Lebanon to Syria due to increasing violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reliefweb.int\/report\/syrian-arab-republic\/unhcr-syria-flash-update-9-response-displacement-lebanon-syria-reporting-period-24-september-5-october-2024\">UNHCR<\/a> added that since Sep. 23, more than 220,000 Syrian and Lebanese nationals, as well as a small number of other nationalities affected, have fled Lebanon and crossed into Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of these, about 70 percent are Syrians, while 30 percent are Lebanese nationals, according to the U.N. Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UNHCR pointed out that it increased its operations at Jisr al-Qmar border crossing in Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Agency highlighted that after airstrikes near the Masnaa border crossing, the number of people entering through the Jdaidet Yabous crossing\u2014Lebanon&#8217;s main entry point\u2014dropped significantly, by about 75 percent.
