KRI, Iraq (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>A military base of the US-led Global Coalition at the Erbil airport in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) was targeted by three drones on Tuesday, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday morning, \u201cat two different points, three drones attacked the international coalition,\u201d the anti-terrorism service of the KRI said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two drones were successfully shot down while the third crashed to the ground, the anti-terrorism service said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder told reporters<\/a> on Monday that 38 attacks had targeted US bases in Iraq and Syria since Oct. 17, resulting in the injury of 46 US troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, an official in the US Department of Defense stated to AFP not for attribution that the attack had led to \u201cno casualties or damage to infrastructure, according to the latest reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, following a cross-border attack by Hamas militants, a series of rocket and drone attacks have targeted US bases in Iraq and Syria. Most of these attacks have been claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed militias in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
