On Wednesday, Turkish-backed armed opposition groups targeted positions of Syrian government forces in the town of Saraqib in the eastern countryside of Idlib, amid shelling by government forces in Idlib's eastern countryside, which resulted in the death of a member of the opposition groups.
A field source told North-Press that the Syrian government forces targeted the villages of al-Fatira, Sufohan and Kafr Awaid in Mount (Jabal) al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib.
On Tuesday after midnight, Syrian government forces bombed the areas of Afes, al-Barah, al-Fatira and Sufohan in Idlib's southern and eastern countrysides, killing a member of the opposition groups, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The bombing of the Syrian government forces came in response to the armed opposition groups' targeting of the town of Saraqib in Idlib's eastern countryside with artillery, according to the Syrian government's official agency SANA.
This comes in conjunction with the 27th day in a row of the new ceasefire within the de-escalation zones in the northwest of Syria.
