The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), based in Italy, granted the title of the first crown to the Syrian photographer Bangin Ahmad, ranking Syria for the first time in crown titleholders in FIAP, in February.
This comes after the participation of the artist Bangin Ahmad with his work in photography in competitions held in more than fifteen countries, in which he won gold, silver and bronze medals, in addition to honorary awards and certificates, awarded by the International Federation of Photographic Art, the American Photography Association, and a number of photo organizations and federations which officially sponsor these competitions and exhibitions.
According to the FIAP accredited scores system, these prizes are equivalent to scores that allow the photographer to obtain higher titles based on their total, as the more scores achieved the higher titles the photographer gets.
Bangin Ahmad was born in Aleppo in 1986, he began his photography career in 2007 as an extension of his passion and work in digital art, design and directing.
He held his first solo exhibition in Aleppo in 2009 before moving to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and Germany to present works about various topics and axes in his place of residency and during travel.
Besides, he is a member of a number of international and regional organizations such as the International Federation of Photography Art FIAP based in Switzerland, the Photo Global Photographic Union GPU, the Arab Union of Photographers, the Photographic Society of America PSA, and the Gulf Center for Photographers.
Ahmad seeks to leave another Syrian and Kurdish mark in this field, and to contribute to shedding light on the intellectual, cultural and artistic product of Syria and all of its components throughout history, hoping that it will provide something, even if it was simple, according to what he told North-Press.
Bangin Ahmad believes that arts and literature, in particular photography, have a role in shaping each period in time and anticipating a promising future filled with art and peace.
