With the attendance of about 200 prominent tribal figures from across the region, the activities of the forum of north and eastern Syria key figures began in the city of Hasakah, on Thursday.
The forum discusses ways for dialogue for the Syrians, especially the dialogue with the Syrian government and the democratic opposition forces, in addition to rejecting "foreign occupation" on Syrian territories, according to one of the coordinators of the forum.
The forum started its activities under the slogan "A united and democratic Syria, the rejection of foreign occupation on Syrian territories."
On Thursday, dozens of tribal elders and figures in northeastern Syria arrived in the area in which the meeting was held, in Tayfour hall, in the city of Hasakah.
The Board of north and eastern Syria tribal Key figures was established on the 18th of March of last year, and includes a large number of elders and notable persons of the region. It defines itself as a community body concerned with all affairs of society, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of coexistence and brotherhood among all of the components in Syria.
