On Monday, a Syrian civilian was killed and a woman was injured due to the Turkish shelling on the village of Aqiba in Sherawa district, south of the Syrian-Kurdish region of Afrin.
Local sources told North-Press that the 67-year-old Ali Malla lost his life, and his daughter Zainab was wounded after their house was targeted by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups’ bombardment.
This is the second time the family's home is being bombed by the Turkish bombardment since last week.
North-Press published a report about the bombing on the family's house for the first time and interviewed Zainab and her father before he was killed at dawn of today.
The bombing of the Turkish military and its armed opposition groups targeted the villages of Aqiba, Soghana and Abyen of Sherawa district, in addition to bombing the villages of Ahres and the town of Tal-Rifaat in northern Aleppo countryside.
The village of Aqiba was hit by 8 shells, 9 shells hit the village of Abyen and 6 shells hit the village of Soghana.
Villages of Sherawa district, south of Afrin have been under almost daily bombardment by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed groups since they took control over the region in 2018.
