A source from the family of the martyred Syriac fighter Said Abdul Ahad, who lost his life during the battles against the Turkish military and the affiliated armed opposition groups said that, the Turkish-affiliated groups are keeping the body of the Syriac fighter and are negotiating for a sum of money for $10,000. The source confirmed to North-Press that, negotiations are still going on between the Syriac Military Council, the family of the martyred fighter on one hand and the Turkish-backed armed groups on the other in the vicinity of the town of Tal Tamr west of Hasakah.
The Syriac fighter Said Abdul Ahad, nicknamed "Athro" lost his life, while three other Syriac fighters were captured by the Turkish armed groups, during the ongoing fighting in the vicinity of the town of Tal Tamr last Tuesday.
The Syriac Military Council has issued a statement, confirming the loss of a fighter and the capture of others by the Turkish-backed armed groups, during a violent attack by the those groups on the village of Rihaniya in the vicinity of the town of Tal Tamr.
In its statement, the Council called on the international community, mainly the United States and the Russian Federation to put pressure on Turkey and abide to the agreements concluded with them to stop the military operation.
It is noteworthy that, the Syriac Military Council forces were deployed in the whole area of al-Khabour since the third of this month.
