ISIS kills government Soldier in Syria’s Deir Ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Islamic State (ISIS) militants raided the house of a soldier of the Syrian government forces and killed him in front of his family’s eyes in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A military source from the government forces said ISIS terrorists raided the house of Ali Jaber, 30, a member in the 4th Armored Division of the government forces, who lives on the outskirts of the town of al-Sukaria in the countryside of Abu Kamal in eastern Deir ez-Zor.

The militants were disguised in the government forces’ uniform. They fatally shot al-Jaber several times after investigating him inside his house and in front of the eyes of his family, the source added.

Syrian government forces and Iran-backed militias control vast swathes of the Syrian Desert and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which witnesses intensified activities by ISIS sleeper cells.

On Friday, Ma’yuf al-Ali, a member of the government forces, was killed by unidentified gunmen near his house in the town of Se’alow in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
