Four members of government security branch injured in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, four members of a security branch of the Syrian government were reported injured in an armed attack against a car in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria. 

A local source told North Press, “Unknown gunmen targeted a Toyota Hilux model car onboard members of the Political Security Branch of the [Syrian] government on the Nawa-Sheikh Saad road in west Daraa.”   

Four members were injured in the attack, two of them seriously; both were taken to Daraa National Hospital while and the others two incurred slight injuries and were taken to Nawa’s, the source said.

Thirty soldiers were sent to the area from a nearby military base to pursue doers, the source added.

Such acts against Syrian government forces are common occurrences in Daraa; on Tuesday, two military checkpoints were attacked by unknown gunmen in Daraa in which three members were injured.
