8 killed in Sept. in Turkish-occupied areas in Syria’s north – VDC-NSY
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Amid ongoing inhuman practices by Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions against civilians in northern Syria eight individuals were killed during September, Violations Documentation Center in North Syria (VDC-NSY) revealed.
VDC-NSY revealed four individuals lost their lives in clashes within inhabited neighborhoods, mines and explosions in the Turkish-occupied areas in northern Syria.
Four individuals were killed in mines and VBIED explosions, according to the center.
Additionally, 61 individuals were arrested by Turkish-backed factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), 35 of which were tortured, and 23 were released in exchange for ransoms.
18 individuals, including three children, were injured in shelling, storms of houses, being hit with shrapnel, explosions or being tortured, the center added.
An estimate of 31 shelling cases by Turkish forces and the SNA factions were documented within inhabited villages, resulting in the injury of 11 civilians and the killing of citizens.
The center also documented eight fighting cases among the SNA factions themselves inside cities.
