Turkey launched 59 attacks on Syria’s AANES areas in 2022 – Mazloum Abdi
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) have been subjected, during 2022, to 59 Turkish attacks, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, said on Wednesday.
The assaults killed our best fighters and dozens of civilians, including children and women, the SDF commander added in a tweet in Arabic.
He continued, “Guarantor states [the US and Russia] should clarify their position and put an end to that.”
On Tuesday, four people were killed and five others were injured in Turkish ground and aerial bombardment of the eastern and northern countryside of Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria.
During the past two days in the Kobani and Hasakah regions, Turkish drones and artillery targeted inhabited villages and AANES institutions, killing employees of the Autonomous Administration and two children as a result, Abdi said in another tweet.
