Two Turkish military convoys enter Syria’s Aleppo within 12 hours

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, second Turkish military convoy entered areas held by armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), in the northern countryside of Aleppo Governorate through Bab al-Salama border crossing.

The Turkish convoy, which entered the city of Azaz in north of Aleppo, included military equipment, ammunition and heavy machinery, an eyewitness told North Press.

The convoy was accompanied with cars belonging to the Turkish-backed Levant Front faction, and headed to the city of Marea in the northern countryside of Aleppo, the eyewitness added.

Turkey continues sending its military convoys, including vehicles, armored vehicles, ammunition and tanks, towards its military bases, in areas held by the SNA factions.

This comes at a time where several reports note to a potential Turkish invasion in areas in northern Syria, where Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recently announced plans to carry out another major military cross-border incursion into northern Syria. Erdogan specified his targets in the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.

On Wednesday evening, a Turkish military convoy entered areas held by SNA factions through al-Rai crossing north of Aleppo.
