EU expels 200 Russian diplomats amid outrage over Bucha massacre 

ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – European nations, in two days, expelled about 200 Russian diplomats amid outrage over “war crimes” committed by the Russian forces in Bucha.

Last week, Russian forces retreated from towns north the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, as it’s refocusing its offensive to the south and east.

On their part, The Ukrainian forces regained control on towns worn out by the six-week war including Bucha, the town that witnessed a mass grave and had bodies scattered across its streets.

Russia has denied the allegations of killing civilians in the areas it had retreated from.

The Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel, said yesterday that his country would expel about 25 Russian diplomats and embassy staff.

Italy also joined the club and decided to expel 30 Russian diplomats for national security reasons, its Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, said in Berlin.

Going to Europe’s north, The Swedish Foreign Minister,  Ann Linde, said yesterday that Sweden would expel three Russian diplomats.

“It is because they are not following the Vienna Convention,” the FM told reporters, explaining the reason behind the expulsion.

Speaking of expulsions, the Danish Foreign Minister, Jeppe Kofod, said that his country had decided to expel 15 Russian diplomats following reports about mass graves being found and civilians killing in Bucha.

Yesterday, Germany and France expressed their willingness to expel 75 Russian diplomats for the same reasons.
