Syrian government-held areas record 97 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded, on Wednesday, six deaths and 97 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Homs, Latakia, Daraa, Aleppo and Suwayda.
Meanwhile, the media office recorded 94 new recoveries.
The new infections were 19 in Deir ez-Zor, 17 in Damascus, 14 in Suwayda, ten each in Tartus and Hama, 8 in Lattakia, 7 in Rif Dimashq, 6 in Aleppo, 4 in Daraa and 2 in al-Qunaitra.
The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 48,267, including 2,755 deaths and 29,272 recoveries.
On November 30, the media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded five deaths, 103 infections and 94 recoveries.
