SDF arrests “Turkish intelligence agent” east Syria

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Our Special Units managed to arrest an agent of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Thursday.

“The arrestee planned to carry out several terrorist operations, including assassinations and bombings against our forces,” the SDF added.

The Media Center pointed out that the arrestee provided “the Turkish MIT with GPS of military posts of our forces and filmed security sites of our forces.”

The arrest was carried out on October 6, and the arrestee is called Jamil Hassan al-Rahim, according to the SDF Media Center.

The SDF Media Center shared a video footage in which al-Rahim talks about his work with the MIT.
