Dozens killed in explosion inside a mosque in Afghanistan

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, a violent explosion rocked a Shiite mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar.

The explosion took place in the city center of Kandahar during Friday prayers, in which a large number of residents participate.

Afghan medical sources indicated that 32 people were killed and more than 53 wounded.

No party has claimed responsibility for the bombing so far, and the authorities have not accused any.

The Islamic State – Khorasan Province claimed responsibility for a number of recent attacks, including a suicide bombing among worshipers last week that targeted a Shiite mosque in Kunduz province, killing about 100 people.
