Russian-Turkish joint patrol conducted in Syria’s east Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Syria’s Kobani, the 72nd patrol between the two forces in the region.
The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set out from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.
It roamed the villages of Binder Khanah, Kharabisan, Itoyaran, Jishan, Baghdik,and Qaramokh, in the western countryside of Tel Abyad.
The patrol returned to the starting point in the village of Gharib.
After that, Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near a radio tower seven kilometers west of Kobani.
On September 13, Russian and Turkish forces conducted the 71st joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani.
